French Cats

I was hoping to get all kinds of fantastic photos of outdoor cats like one sees in Greece. But I really struck out here. But I took a photo, good or bad, of every cat we came across, because I promised Emmatina I would. So, Emmatina, as promised here are my meager photos of the cats of France.

This cat was at one of the chateaus, but now I can't remember which one.

We could see this cat from the viewpoint at the rest stop that had the French fries truck.

And this sweet little kitty was under the chairs in a closed outdoor cafe on Mont St. Michel.

This very serious cat came across the wet grass at the cemetery at Normandy.

I know, I know, this isn't a live cat, but I was getting desperate. This art cat was in the window at the Villandry Chateau.

This cat was in charge of the gift shop at Chennanceau Chateau. Notice the cat towels on one of the shelves.

This was our first cat spotting. We found him in the gardens of a small hotel in Amboise.

Yes, I know this is a dog but he was priceless. This pampered dog was in the window of a shop in Paris.

french cats!….oh bravo! bravo!..clap clap clap!…..emmatina was so very pleased and wants me to convey her “merci beaucoup” to you…….she is lying next to me as i type and is purring contentedly……loved the window with the painted cat…….i must say that is one lucky pampered pooch and what a fantastic view he has to people watch….wow, what a world……wonder how many french people actually own poodles?….seems like there are more in nyc than in paris…hmm…

and snoopy on a jar of nutella!…oh how “sweet”……have never seen one here in the states…….odd that….

it’s a credit to the french for hiding their messy construction sites with elaborate tarps…..wonder what they think of the countries that leave their messes in plain view?…..one word comes to mind…”TACKY”, but spoken in french of course….ha!

for crying out loud……monet’s gardens are absolutely stunning, breathtaking, just so absolutely gorgeous!!….without a doubt, surely they are the most beautiful in the world…..how could you leave them?!…..and btw, although chuck is a fabulous looking frenchman, did you by any chance take notice of that very, very, ooh la la lamp post he was posing under?…….i bet it wasn’t purchased from lowe’s either!

the handicap accessible telephone made me laugh out loud…..i’m sure it probably is, but it looks sorta silly…….but then i’m not french, so what do i know?
